Testimonials

“I’ve been with Toujours Mikes for over 25 years. I worked for the restaurant for almost 16 years before buying it 10 years ago. I like being a franchisee because I feel listened to and supported by the chain. The brand is constantly evolving – there’s always something new and different. Mikes is always like a big family.”

Éric Rochette – Valleyfield franchisee

“I’ve known the brand since I was a teenager, and it’s always been recognized for its good taste. I love being a franchisee because the head office is always there when I need help and advice. We have a great training program, constant improvements to our procedures and a menu that everyone likes, designed by our chef. Our restaurants are beautiful and our products are of the highest quality. I’m proud to be part of the Toujours Mikes family.”

Yes, it is possible to select your own location, although Bâton Rouge will need to approve of the site.
The standard franchise agreement matches the restaurant lease agreement. Most restaurant lease agreements are normally of a 10-year duration, this is typically co-terminus with the expiry of the lease.
The recruitment and training process includes supporting the hiring of staff and management by providing job descriptions, interview questions, and hiring packages, along with interviewing and qualifying candidates. Training involves organizing materials, scheduling, and conducting orientation, hands-on, and third-party training such as reservation software (Libro), POS training, and mixology, with management training lasting 4-5 weeks and hourly staff training 1.5 weeks. Operational support includes weekly meetings, checklists, and assistance with POS system procurement and vendor account setups. Menus are addressed through procurement, training, and setup for both back-of-house (BOH) and front-of-house (FOH). Store setup and operational details are handled alongside marketing support, from staff recruitment to opening events. Hands-on operational support is provided for three weeks before and after opening, with ongoing post-opening support.
